Invisible mapping is an artistic research project that mapped different building typologies in the historical district of the city of Tijuana, the documentation of this experimental mapping methodology has resulted in a cinematic guided walk that narrates the re-imagination of many sites and spaces, streets, people and stories.

The invisible mapping tour is a fictional experience that takes a side the constant cliches generated by conventional media and pays attention to the real city, a city that we are able to visualize throughout many layers of memory.

By observing aesthetic and spatial conditions of physical structures, the audience is able to understand the geopolitical abstract forces that produces a post-apocalyptic Tijuana.

It’s a creative exercise that provides critical tools for city reading, with the main focus on finding a unique, intimate and personal version of the city.
